Major European (http://money.cnn.com/markets/world_markets/) markets were higher in early trading, although they lost some of the earlier gains following the blast reports from New York.
Treasury (http://money.cnn.com/markets/bondcenter/) prices were little changed, leaving the yield on the 10-year note at 4.18 percent. The dollar (http://money.cnn.com/markets/currencies/) was down slightly against the euro and the yen.
