I don't know, if we having that housing bubble I keep hearing, they may be saving us money......for now anyway. :shock:

I am more concern about what would we use to track it. Housing bubbles takes a long time for it to happen 3-6 months for us to really feel the full effect. However, REIT fund is subject to volatility up/downswings like any other TSP funds. I would love to see a REIT fund here.

An advisory group that represents federal employees on matters concerning the Thrift Savings Plan is opposing efforts to add a new investment option tied to commercial real estate.

The Employee Thrift Advisory Council, comprised of representatives from the 15 major federal unions and employee organizations, voted unanimously March 7 to send a resolution to House and Senate lawmakers opposing the proposed addition of a fund tied to real estate investment trusts, or REITs...
