Major European (http://money.cnn.com/markets/world_markets/) markets also were lower in early trading. Among U.S. shares, Ford was off more than 7 percent in Frankfurt trading early Monday following the earnings warning (http://money.cnn.com/2005/04/08/news/fortune500/ford_outlook.reut/) from the No. 2 U.S. automaker late Friday afternoon.

Fortunately for us, the dollar has been tanking in the forex market. Hopefully, it remains weak this week given all the trade data to be released.
