I notice some frequent posters now have 'banned' next to their names. Without fingering them, what should us novices avoid doing to prevent a similar fate?

That was not be criticial. I liked all her posts slamming me that I was a fool and I had no idea what I was talking about. Once the market starting turning south she left. I wish she would of stuck around (lurker) so I could say - Who is the fool now?
Once again I was not being critical - she said what I wrote. I loved hearing it. Because "those who can see what is going to happen before it does....rings the register at the end of the day".
I have been short this market all year and am up around (rough estimate) 24-33%.
Wish she was still here. I loved it!!! "I do not see the head and shoulder top, he is an idiot". "He is a nay sayer". "The economy is good". I have every little remark she said written down in my notes.
Wish she was still here :(. Happens everytime. They figure out "hey I was the one that was wrong - and they leave". But they try to put a guilt trip on you before they do. Like I say - find the pattern they repeat themselves.
Funny today on Bloomberg they were saying "We may have a head and shoulders top developing". Really? Did not see that coming.

OK, what is raging bull? Mainly I am poking around foreign newspapers that is the only place you will hear the truth. Read the U.S. newspapers and you would not think the NAS is still down 63%. We are not communist but it sure seems that way. - ha ha - All is well. The fed data is not a farce :P.

Do you OWN research there are LOTS of shorts out there. I have been banging the desk about the HIGH flyers are going to get shoot down then the low hanging fruit (GM, Coke). The problem is you are deer in headlights you do not do anything. Short any of the high PE stocks.

I am still being told by the software developer that the "ignore" button will be available soon, but I've been hearing that for some time now.
I will lift the ban onDr_Dubiouswhen it is available. He just causes too much friction on the board,and more than a few people have left or told me they will leave if he doesn't.I enjoyedsome of his posts and I didn't let his egotistical posts bother me so much, but thegroup is more important than any one individual.

Unfortunately, many people left/were already banned (what of mlk?) and MT/DrDubious was at the root of it all. Not to be a jerk, but I want a clear understanding before Iinvest time and energy someplace.
Normally I am alone in my opinions, but not this one: the guy is absolutely worthless and wrecks the board.

Once a person is deleted, as MT and Dr_Dub have now been, they can not come back. That is a "ban for life" and can not be changed. Normally a ban can be changed, but once deleted, it can't. The only member who was banned and not deleted was mlk_man so I am saying he now has an option to come back. (I was trying not to name names but I guess I confused ya).
MT / Dr_Dub was the root of it all and that is why I'm letting mlk back if he wants. MT and Dr_Dub are now gone for good. If he comes back under another alias I will just delete him and his new posts.
Does that make sense? Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

I sorta (unwittingly) pushed mlk_man over the edge there. I accused him of bogus trades and such, and it was not him, it was MarketTimer I was thinking of. We had some exchanges in e-mail and we were both jerks about it (but he was in the right).
So, if anyone else remembers any of that (I know mlk does, hehe), I want to set mlk's record straight. I've not noticed anything questionable about his trades. Granted, I never knew anything about the 'system' I kept hounding him about, hehe, but that's neither here nor there.
Sooo.....mlk....can you take me off your 's' list? :)

If you are seeing something different from any of my posts or my PMs please let me know. I suggest things that I think will benefit the group and not because I likesomeone over the other. I help others because people herehave helped me. So, pleaseexclude me from all these extra curricular activities that you all seemed to be so preoccupied with.
This site was made available for us to shareideas and help one another.However, what I am seeing here is a distraction within thatlofty goal. I see alot of newbies here and I am glad that they are coming in whether to ask questions or to share their ideas.I just don't think that you seasoned/oldies/veterans are setting good examples for them.Negativity pushes people away. You can always tell when the market is falling. It's not always easy for everyone to get alongsoI had to ridus of some of the cancer. Individually we have a lot of greatpeople here. Just don't put them in the same room. :? :)
Anyway, I am closing this thread so we can get back to the market talk.
By the way, I deleted some posts that were way out of line and the reason why I dropped some members.
