My timing may be off but... I am ready to go back in. My tentative plan was to stay with my 40% G fund allocation through Wednesday, pick up that guaranteed G fund penny, then get back fully into stocks by Thursday. Today's volume really picked up as a down day turned positive by the close. It could have been window dressing for the institutional investors, but I don't want to miss out if it is for real. The pros and cons of getting in now and risk being too early are:
The difference is that even if the market does have more room to fall, I believe it will be short lived and I will get any losses back pretty quickly. If the market goes up without me, I am unlikely to get another chance to get that gain. That is why I am trying to err on the side of being too bullish. This bit me in July so if you do follow my moves, please take your risk tolerance into consideration before jumping back in. The dollar really fell today so
I am leaning toward getting something into the I fund. That's all for today. Currently 40% G, 20% C, 20% S, 20% I fund. Today I will make a transfer before the noon ET deadline, which will be effective Thursday. I'm going to 70% S, 30% I fund. See you tomorrow.
